About eight hundred years ago, there were a number of saints in the state of Maharashtra who had realised God. They initiated the path of devotion through songs known as Abhang.
This choreography weaves a garland of 3 songs portraying the joy that wells up from the hearts of devotees when the Glory of God is remembered.
It creates a spontaneous manifestation of inner ecstasy and also tells the story of some devotees who address Pandarapura, the city of Vittala.
