In Vasantha, the spring season, the land comes to life with all the flora and fauna. The air is filled with intoxicating smell of fresh flowers. In the entire piece, the beauty of the season is explored and the lyrics denote a beautiful tradition from Ancient India called the "Dohada". It is believed that in the Dohada tradition that through specific actions of beautiful girls, different kinds of flowers blossom – for example, the Ashoka blossoms by the touch of the feet of the most beautiful girl, Tilaka by her glances, Kuravaka by her embrace, Mandaara through her soft whispers, Nameru by her song and Karnikaara by her dance.
