Beauty beyond the Body - portrays the love of Parvathi towards lord Shiva through her strength, determination and wisdom of love. This composition is an inspiration from the Sanskrit classic -Kumarasambhavam, written by the renowned poet, Kalidasa.

Jubilant Parvathi is seen joyously singing and dancing in the spring season, artificially created by Manmatha -The Lord of Love. Parvathi is shattered when her lord does not look at her. She is enraged and burns Manmatha with his third eye. Dejected Parvathi sees no purpose of having a beautiful physical form. She decides to give away her features to the nature. She gives away her sparkling eyes to the deer, beautiful smile to the blossoming flowers, graceful body to the creepers, gait to the swans and her braid to the snakes. She then decides to win her Lord through vigorous penance. She meditates and stays determined as seasons pass by - the heat of summer, the showers of monsoon and the celebration of harvest, Parvathi carries on undisturbed.

At the advent of the real spring, Parvathi encounters Shiva who comes in disguise of a brahmin to test her love. He questions her credibility to which Parvathi replies wisely and confesses her deep love for Shiva, which was beyond the physical realms. Pleased by her devotion, Shiva accepts her and proclaims her to be the epitome of “Atma Soundarya”, the one who realized the inner beauty and transcended the material world.
