Achaaryaa (आचार्या)
A passionate Kathak dancer with over 18 years of dedicated training, she has been learning under the tutelage of Smt. Nirupama Rajendra and Sri. T.D. Rajendra at Abhinava Dance Company. Her journey in Kathak has been deeply rooted in the Abhinava tradition, where she has actively participated in several of the company’s productions.
She completed her Rangmanchpravesh in July 2019, marking an important milestone in her artistic journey.
Over the years, she has had the opportunity to attend workshops conducted by eminent gurus such as Pandit Birju Maharaj, Dr. Maya Rao, and Guru Kumudini Lakhia, enriching her understanding of the art form through diverse perspectives.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Jain University and balances her artistic pursuits alongside being a mother of two wonderful children.
Currently, she serves as a faculty member at Abhinava Dance Company, where she contributes to nurturing the next generation of dancers. With a keen interest in deepening her practice, she has also undergone training in Karanas under the guidance of Smt. Nirupama Rajendra.
